Akil A. Lookman studied Interior Design at the City University, London-UK., he graduated in Architecture from the University of Greenwich, London-UK., and MSc. in Construction Management and Economics from the Bartlett School of Architecture - University College London-UK., he is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects-UK., and Association of Project Managers-UK.
Akil worked for 25 years in UK with various leading architectural consultant firms on a variety of projects in UK and Europe. In 1994 he commenced working in Kuwait as Principal Architect and Project Manager for a local consultant office, and successfully completed several projects for the Kuwait government and private sector in Kuwait, Dubai and China.
Akil joined Gulf Consult in 2000 as Senior Architect and Projects Manager. He has been responsible for major projects in Kuwait, such as, Jumeraih Messilah Beach Hotel and Spa, College of Business Studies – Male and Female Campuses for the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, Al-Kahaal Eye Clinic and The New Kuwait International Airport.
Akil was appointed an Associate with Gulf Consult in 2007.
